Beauty is a Burden's new collection has some exciting new items! Our product line has been complemented with new products, for instance new variety of drop shaped pearls (model Rococo), fancy colours for the fall / winter and holiday season and many more must have classy accessories. Additionally, we now do carry silver clasps (on selected items) and silver earrings in our collection. Please note that all our (pearl) products are hand made with a limited amount of being sold to ensure exclusiveness.
This season we feature deep rich pastels in warm golden and grayish hues and also added new colours and models to our customers' favourite products such as our Aquarelle, Classique, Sable, Primo Amore and Joeux.

The Gift That Keeps on Giving:
Recently we had many requests about gift certificates. Our customers are our raison d’être and we highly value your opinion. So, as of today we are selling gift certificates! There are two types of certificates available: standard certificates with a fixed amount or personalised certificates where you can choose the amount and optionally add a personal note for the receiver. The standard certificates can be ordered HERE.
If you want to order a custom-made gift certificate please contact us by e-mail (marjolein_AT_beautyisaburden.com) and we will get back to you asap and arrange all the details.
You can use both certificates in our store (in Holland) or in our web-store (world-wide). After your order is processed, you will receive the gift certificate in .pdf format. You can either print this certificate and give this to the person involved yourself or send it by e-mail. On the certificate you find a unique personalised code that can be used once in our online store to purchase our products.
Please note that transportation costs are not automatically included in our gift-certificates and will be added after you enter your coupon code. If you like to include these costs in the gift, please inform us about this, so we can customize your coupon! For special requests and other questions and suggestions feel free to contact us!

You can wear that fashionable Little Black Bag (a LBD gone wrong), but without the right “bling” it will never be wild thing. Yes Ladies, Beauty can be a Burden, right? Now, please let us guide you in solving these awfully difficult esthetical dilemma's.
Beauty Is A Burden (BIAB) is an online store that hooks you up with the right accessories. Here you can find hand-made, ready-made or custom-made jewellery. All the jewellery is made from real pearls and semi-precious stones unless it is stated otherwise in the product description. For instance jewellery in the “Fake IT” section is often made of wood, glass or synthetic materials, hence the name.
Although we ship directly from China, it is not all fake-it-until-you-make-it or fake-it-as-you-make-it. These copy kings happen to know there gems! China is currently the largest producer of freshwater pearls and gives home to some of the world's largest jewellery wholesale businesses.
There are two different product lines: Prêt-à-Porter and Customize! Prêt-à-Porter jewellery is hand-made (by us) or ready made (by a third party) and has a fixed price. Products in the Customize group are hand-made and are on special request. Prices in this product category therefore are not fixed and depend on your specific needs and wishes.
